COLEHILL lies adjacent to Wimborne Minster on its eastern side and is an area of mainly modern housing developed in the 20th century.
On its southern edge, the settlement adjoins the old A31 Ringwood – Dorchester Road, now by-passed. The oldest part of the settlement lies to the north, where it adjoins open countryside and heathland.
The parish has a population of 6,760 and for District Council elections, is divided into 2 wards: Colehill East and Colehill West.
Colehill has a library, a school, and several local convenience stores.
