The branch has been energetic in campaigning for UKIP in Local Elections as well as Parliamentary and Euro-elections.

In 2011, we stood 13 candidates, gained approximately 15% of the vote (1 in 7 voters voted for UKIP), beating Labour, and in one ward, beating the Liberal Democrats for the first time.

In the 2013 Dorset County Council elections, UKIP finished ahead of the Conservatives for the first time in an election locally in our area, coming second in Corfe Mullen.

Across all Mid-Dorset & North Poole wards, our candidates averaged 23.5% of the vote.

A full list of UKIP’s local Council election results for all Poole and Mid-Dorset wards can be found on this website.

In the May 2014 Euro-elections, UKIP came first in Poole with a 38.5% share of the vote.

For the upcoming all-Council elections in May 2015, we are aiming to field UKIP candidates in EVERY ward and are committed to gaining our first elected Councillor. Care to join us? Click here to join today.
